Esta es una de las mejores y más divertidas óperas que escuché en mi vida. No escuché todavía la de V. de los Angeles, pero no me convence ue esté cantada en Inglés.

I have a very soft spot for this opera ( see previous comments on other versions) which I first saw 53 years ago in the company of a beautiful young lady!! (Bitter-sweet memories!!). This is a lovely recording, probably the best on the market, but for me, it's trumped by the excerpts version with Rothenberger/Wunderlich. (Ah, the memories of youth!!!).
