Worth having even only for historical reasons. The sound quality is good but the principals - with the exception of Waldemar Kmentt - are only on average form. The conductor takes the performance at a rather leisurely, dull pace. Cannot compare with the 'excerpts' below with Rothenberger and Wunderlich !
